Shelter Baden Spatburgunder 2021 x 12

Steintal Franken Buntsandstein Spätburgunder 2021 — Franken’s Finest Pinot Noir

The Steintal Franken Buntsandstein Spätburgunder 2021 is a benchmark German Pinot Noir drawn from ancient Triassic red sandstone soils in Franken, Germany. The Buntsandstein terroir lends this wine its signature mineral tension, earthy depth, and structural precision — qualities rarely found in Spätburgunder outside of this exceptional region.

On the nose, expect red cherry, wild strawberry, and dried rose petal with undercurrents of graphite and iron-rich minerality. The palate is medium-bodied with silky tannins, vivid natural acidity, and a long, savoury finish. The cool 2021 vintage has delivered exceptional aromatic clarity and cellaring potential — optimal drinking window 2025–2033. Serve at 14–16°C, ideally with a 30-minute decant.
