Opens with aromas of crisp green apple, fresh-squeezed lemon and delicate florals. The palate is fresh and zippy, with bright citrus energy. Hints of lemon curd, sherbert and silky lemon verbena add subtle depth and texture. The finish is distinctly linear, carrying a slate-like minerality. A fine talc edge lingers, leaving the wine clean, focused and effortlessly refreshing.

• Viticulture

  The 2025 growing season was one of the driest on record. A rain event in November (20mm) being the only rain of any significance between August 2024 and March 2025. Despite the dry conditions, the vines set themselves an ambitious crop to ripen. As the season wore on, the vines were heavily nursed, and shoot length and canopy density were, for the most part, lacking. The grapes struggled to get through veraison, but amazingly they kept progressing towards ripeness, until, with small berries, all skin and seeds, the fruit was harvested.

• Winemaking

  The 2025 Inigo Riesling comes from four unique blocks on the Sevenhill property, with harvest taking place in late February. The grapes are crushed and chilled prior to gentle pressing. Each block was fermented separately. Cool fermentation temperatures followed by fanatical attention to detail prior to bottling have helped maintain vibrancy and fruit purity.
