The 2022 Riesling Loiben is from the Trum, Oberhauser and Burgstall sites in Loiben. The nose has an aromatic top note of bergamot, announcing citrus intentions. The 2022 Riesling Loiben is bright, intense and fresh on the aromatic and finely flinty nose that is reminiscent of apricots, white peaches and crushed rocks. It is lean, fresh and tensioned on the palate, with aromatic, almost Muscat-like fruit and crispiness as well as a lively or nervous acidity. This is a still young but almost accessible Riesling that will nevertheless benefit from further bottle aging without losing its vibrancy.(SR)
