Made in Australia and Italian at heart, Three 
Minds is a tribute to the friendship of three 
migrants from Toscana, Puglia and Abruzzo, 
stirred up with decades of immersion in 
Australian culture and companionship in the 
wine industry. Carlo, Fred and Mario came 
from the golden triangle of Italy’s food and 
wine areas, and their love of a good red is 
one of the elements that has bonded them 
over the last decades. 

Situated on McGillivray Rd, not far from 
the Coonawarra township, the Three Minds 
vineyard covers a broad, fl at area of about 35 
acres. It was planted to Cabernet Sauvignon 
and Merlot in the mid 1990s. While the rest of 
the fruit is sold, this bottling is from a smaller 
parcel of Reynella clone Cabernet Sauvignon 
chosen for its brighter, red-fruited profi le, earthy 
thumbprint and fresh, peppermint-patty notes. 

Matured in a combination of new (50%) and seasoned French oak hogsheads for 18 months. Impenetrable inky black heart with a very deep dark red black hue. Lifted ripe blackcurrant and black olive aromas are followed by cedary tobacco, earth and bay leaf notes. Rich blackcurrant fruits flood the medium to full bodied palate with notions of mulberry, vanillin cedar, earthy tobacco, black olive and spicy dried herb characters also chiming in. A ripe sturdy tannin structure lends a firmish feel to the long blackcurrant driven conclusion.
