This range welcomes you to walk alongside us on this unique passage through the vineyards, exploring the individual blocks and batches brought together to create this story—a colourful, textural tale of the season and the soils.
Tasting Notes
Colour:Deep red with purple hues.
Nose:Dark boysenberry and floral notes spiced with hints of white pepper, liquorice strap and subtle toasty oak influences, derived from barrel fermentation.
Palate:A robust, full-bodied wine offering ample depth with plenty of inky ripe forest fruits; blackberries, redcurrants and spice. The jubey fruit and approachable tannins combine to produce a generous wine with a supple structure and a lovely persistence of flavour.

Winemaking Notes:45% of the blend was destemmed then crushed with open rollers, before being pressed early and barrel fermented in French oak barriques, half of which was new oak. After fermentation this component was matured in a large format (2000 litre), old oak vat. 55% of the blend was treated more ‘conventionally’ with the fruit destemmed and crushed with open rollers to introduce whole berries into the ferment, as well as the inclusion of 1% Viognier for co-fermentation
