Satèn is the Franciacorta DOCG’s version of Champagne Blanc de Blancs, crafted entirely from Chardonnay. Winemaking starts with soft pressing, followed by cold settling and a 20‑day stainless‑steel fermentation with selected yeast, including partial malolactic fermentation for added roundness. The base wine then matures for 7 months in a mix of steel and barriques, before spending 24–30 months in bottle on lees before disgorgement to 6 g/L.
The wine pours a bright straw colour with a fine, persistent perlage. Aromatically it’s fresh and elegant, showing hawthorn, bread crust, red apple, dried fig and whispers of nuttiness. On the palate it’s soft but beautifully fresh, carrying lovely acidity and a long, dense finish.
