Funtanì, from the Piedmontese dialect "fountain", recalls the geographical position of the oldest Barbera vineyard on our property near an old water spring at the foot of the slope. A very sunny position, old vines and a natural production of a few bunches per plant are the foundations of this product. Made in 1998 for the first time, it aims to express the noblest and most complex potential of this extraordinary Piedmontese grape variety. A production of a few thousand bottles at the end of a process of aging in wood of over a year followed by a further year of rest in the bottle. Sublime when young but to be appreciated even at 12-15 years old and beyond.
