Pichler-Krutzler Wachau In Der Wand Riesling 2021 x 6
Product Description
The name "In der Wand" goes back to a donation by the parish of Dürnstein in 1314 and names three plots in the Kummersthal site, west of Dürnstein, but is not registered as a site. Accessible only on foot via about 100 stone steps, this terraced location, which drops steeply down to the Danube, is unique and brings extreme temperature differences between day and night due to its western orientation. This circumstance, combined with the high gneiss content and the shallow topsoil, allows this site to produce extremely mineral and long-lasting wines.
"Pale green yellow, silver reflections. Fine yellow tropical fruit, delicate pineapple and passionfruit, a hint of lime zest. Juicy, white peach, fresh acid structure, lemon touch, salty nuances, a racy food companion, already easy to drink." - Falstaff
