Liquorice and blackberry and tar and roses and violets and iron. Textural yet silky: the brightly-coloured and flavoured berry fruits remain in an impossibly fresh posture and show. Vibrancy to taste. Yet is this the red grape variety that makes vintage port? Yes, hence the colour and the plushness and the tannin. Sorry: TANNIN.
