Tasting Note
Colour Brick‑red with a gently browning rim, reflecting its age and steady bottle development.
Bouquet A lifted, savoury nose showcasing classic tertiary complexity:
-
forest floor and autumnal earth
-
mushroom and truffle
-
spicy red and dark cherry
-
subtle smoky, seasoned oak
The aromatics are integrated, expressive and unmistakably cool‑climate.
Palate Elegant, balanced and softly textured.
-
gentle spice‑infused cherry fruit still present
-
fine, resolved tannins giving a silky frame
-
savoury, earthy secondary notes emerging with clarity
-
harmonious acidity carrying the wine through to a long, savoury finish
The palate sits in a sweet spot between fading primary fruit and rising savoury complexity.
Maturity & Cellaring
Drinking beautifully now, with 3–5 years of enjoyable life ahead. Expect fruit to gradually recede as mushroom, truffle and earthy characters continue to deepen.
