Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. The nose offers up aniseed and dark plum aromas over smoky oak, black olive and black pepper. Rich, plush aniseed and blackberry flavours are swamped by charry vanillin oak on the back half. Some spicy black pepper characters are also evident. Sturdy but polished tannins with a lingering charry oak aftertaste.
