Product Description
Marchand & Burch Australian Collection Rosé
Marchand and Burch Rosé reflects a contemporary style while taking cues from an admired tradition of dry, delectable, divine Rosé wines from the Southern French region of Provence. This pale pink wine conveys the delicate, alluring, spicy and mineral characteristics that make these wines so unashamedly enjoyable.
Once picked the grapes are immediately pressed to ensure only the lightest tinges of pink from the red grapes make it into the final blend. Some batches are kept cold on lees and stirred daily for up to one week prior to fermentation in order to build flavour complexity and texture. Beyond this early phase, the wine is largely made in the same way as white wine. The juice ferments in stainless steel and older French oak. Lees are stirred weekly from late in the fermentation until dry. During a short oak maturation, partial malolactic occurs. The wine is then blended, minimally fined and filtered. The result is a West Australian Rosé of exceptional fruit purity and undeniable drinkability.
